Beth Protea in Herzlia
Retiring in Israel and looking for a secure living solution? For English speakers there is Beth Protea – an award winning retirement facility located in the heart of Herzlia. It is a rural oasis in the downtown area of a large city. It has spacious, well tended gardens and a large building which houses all the public areas, the administrative offices and the residential areas.
The facility offers 3 sections – Independent Living, Assisted Living and Nursing Care. In the Independent section, there are 105 apartments where the residents live independently, but also have the possibility of receiving help when needed.
The Assisted Living unit is specifically for those residents who have accommodation needs between “independent” and “nursing care”. This unit allows them to continue to live as independently as possible, but with the possibility of up to 24 hour a day assistance as needed.
Living a full and active life does not have to stop when moving to a Nursing Care unit. Their 36 bed Nursing Care unit provides peace of mind through superior nursing care in a wonderful environment 24 hours a day.
It is important to stress that there is an English speaking environment at Beth Protea. While many of the residents are ex South Africans, there are also a number of residents from Britain, the USA, Canada and Israel.
Daily life includes a rich cultural program, various physical activities and a bi-weekly shuttle service to the city center.
All 3 units offer an ambiance of love, warmth and care, combined with efficiency which ensures that your loved one maintains the highest quality of life.
Beth Protea has recently extended its warm and loving care as well as its services to the community at large. The goal is to provide security and peace of mind to senior citizens (and their families) who prefer to remain in their own homes. This exciting new project is called Protea Home Care. It is a modular program where each client chooses which services best suit their particular requirements.
