The results
Maccabi Health Services maintains its position for the highest level of satisfaction among policyholders, Kupat Holim Leumit gets particularly low marks, while the Clalit Health Services shows mixed results as does Kupat Holim Meuhedet according to a major survey carried out by the Brookdale Institute. Parts of the survey are being published here for the first time.
Background
The survey was conducted by Dr. Shuli Bramley-Greenberg and Tamar Medina-Hartum from Brookdale by conducting telephone interviews with 1,540 people in three different languages (languages not stipulated in the article). This survey represents the biggest and most important in the health system and that has been published every two years since 1995 with the enactment of the National Health Insurance Law.
This survey was conducted in the last quarter of 2014 – a turbulent time in the healthcare system – after Operation Protective Edge and towards the end of The German Commission (Yael German – MOH) which brought health issues to the top of the public agenda, and increased the marketing of private health insurance.. Above all are the deepening deficits of the health funds, which may affect the service received by the insured.
