Israel health funds do coronavirus testing for travelers going abroad.
Since Israelis are now free to travel to selected ‘green countries’ where the coronavirus active infection rate is low Israel health funds are carrying out coronavirus testing specifically for this purpose.
Coronavirus testing for the purpose of travel is being carried out by Israel’s four health funds: Maccabi, Clalit, Leumit and Meuhedet. Those requesting a coronavirus test must prove they are traveling by presenting their airline ticket. Upon their departure at Ben Gurion International Airport travelers must present proof of a negative coronavirus test result.
The coronavirus test must be carried out between 48 and 72 hours prior to departure. Each green country has its own specific requirement.
