Eurovision 2019 – Meet the 4 Israeli presenters.

Four Israeli presenters; Erez Tal, Bar Rafaeli, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub will be presenting the 64th Eurovision Song Contents in Tel Aviv between the 14th – 18th May.  Two semi-final rounds will precede the final round on Saturday, May 18th at Expo Tel Aviv.

Errez Tal and Bar Rafaeli are the main hosts while Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub will be backstage in the green-room.

Erez Tal, 57, from Tel Aviv is a well known Israel TV personality. Erez Tal co-hosted Israel’s Big Brother – HaAch Hagodol with Assi Azar.  Tal also created the Rak B’Yisrael – Only in Israel comedy program.

Bar Rafaeli, 33, supermodel, businesswoman, TV host and actress will be co-hosting The Eurovision with Erez Tal. Bar’s modelling career started when she was only 8 months old.  She has appeared in campaigns for many luxury brands and has appeared on the covers of numerous fashion magazines.  She has presented and appeared in a variety of TV shows.  Bar is married to Israeli businessman, Adi Ezra and has two daughters; Liv and Elle.

Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub will be backstage, in the green-room during the song contest.

Assi Azar, 39, co-hosted Big Brother – Israel with Erez Tal until 2015 and The Next Star with Rotem Sela. He is also the creator of the romantic comedy TV series, Beauty and the Baker. Azar is an LGBT rights advocate. In 2009, he was listed among the most 100 influential gay people in the world by OUT Magazine.

Lucy Ayoub, age 26, was born in Haifa. She is a daughter to an Arab-Christian father, and an Ashkenazi Jewish mother who converted to Christianity upon their marriage. Ayoub celebrates both the Christian and Jewish holidays with different parts of her family.  She writes stories and poems in both Arabic and Hebrew.  Ayoub served in the Israel Defense Forces as a flight simulator instructor in the Israeli Air Force.  In 2016 she joined the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation station and also hosted the the daily TV programme Culture Club on Kan 11.

Neta Barzilay, as Israel’s representative in last year’s Eurovision Cong Contest, brought the 2019 song contest to Israel when she took the crown in 2018 with her song ‘Toy’.
