Built in 1962 by a young medical doctor named Mahmoud Abulafi, the hotel has contributed a lot to tourism under both Jordanian (until 1968) and Israeli rule.

The family run Commodore Hotel welcomes you to their newly renovated Commodore Jerusalem, which re-opened in May 2011. After 58 years of slumber, the hotel is reawakened as Jerusalem’s newest hotel, offering rooms on three floors of luxury, character and boutique style.
